Go to: News ListAKO will be actively involved in a project for new generation parabolic trough plants that will investigate and develop new key components for their optimization. The main goal is to enhance the efficiency of this kind of CSP plants while decreasing related implementation, operation and maintenance costs.
The growing exigency for temperature maintenance solutions in CSP plants calls for more ingenious and sophisticated approaches concerning heat tracing systems, from both technical and procedure points of view .These changes are critical to ensure the viability of next generation CSP technology, therefore becoming essential in order to help CSP engineering evolve towards a competitive energy source.
To achieve this goal, AKO has also nurtured its relationship with national university clusters (with integration programs for graduates and post-graduates students) and it has expanded its links with several top rated research centers both in Spain and overseas. In addition to that, AKO has integrated AICIA (Industrial Research and Cooperation Association of Andalucía) in the current Innovation consortium to work in the development of new heating and temperature maintenance technologies.
AKO embarks itself in this exciting task totally convinced of the CSP success to become the best alternative to conventional (and highly polluting) energy sources in the mid-term, while acknowledging its responsibility to set the ground knowledge to do so.
